19th Century lead printer's plate for horse sale broadsides.
An unusual and visually striking lead plate that is hand carved. It measures 9 inches long by 5.5 inches high and is 1/4 inch thick - weighs 3 pounds. Included are a couple of pictures of horse sale broadsides that appear to have been made using this plate. Since it's not a reverse image, wondering if this plate was used to make a stereotype mold.
