Folk art carved limberjack / jig doll

A big one, tall and lanky - 13 inches tall.  Though he's lost his hands somewhere along the way, he has a very well carved, expressive face.

Folk art carved limberjack / jig doll

8.5 inches tall, fully complete with a great patina.  You can see subtle color where there were eyes and hair drawn or painted long ago.  Interesting detail to the shoulders that are hollowed out, the hip joint that is open in the front but closed in the back and the feet that have wire along the top edge - maybe as reinforcement?

Antique folk art carved Limberjack / jigger couple

The woman is just over 7.5 inches tall and the man is about 7.25 inches tall.  Obviously made by the same maker and unusual to find a man/woman pair.  Hard to date but there is considerable nail bleed into the wood and wear around the nail joints to indicate considerable use and age - they both move freely.

Vintage folk art carved toy revolver / pistol

Presumably made for a child to play with given the small size - 7 inches long by 4 inches high.  The loading lever underneath the barrel has broken off at some point, otherwise in great shape with honest wear and mellow paint.

Circa 1920's folk art home made Thompson Machine Gun

Child size - just shy of 28 inches with a wooden mechanism that makes a clacking sound to simulate machine gun fire when you rotate the wheel.  Has old nails for sights and the initials "H.F." carved in long ago.  Has damage to the barrel but overall nice wear and patina - the rotating wheel has been replaced at some point - the rest of the gun is all original.

Folk art carved figural soldier swagger stick

Inscribed " DATE 14/8/1955 - MADE IN EGYPT"  Presumably made by or for a British officer stationed in Egypt prior to their withdrawl after the Suez Crisis of 1956.  25 inches long representing a soldier in uniform with tie, cap, shorts, etc.  Great detail with pins used for buttons.  Also, has a snake winding up the stick towards the soldier's foot.

Vintage folk art home made toy pistol

Has authentic wear from use and play.  A small size for a younger child - 6 inches by 3.5 inches.  Has hand drawn decoration.  Hard to date but maybe 1930's / 1940's?
