Folk art, primitive hand made fly fishing box

A home made fly fishing box, dated 1939. 9 inches long, 5 inches tall and 7 inches wide. I love the fact that whoever made this embellished it all over. The lid picture is hard to read, but it has two fishermen fishing in a pond talking to each other. The one fisherman is saying "Hold her Lou" and the other is responding, "She's only..." I can't make out the rest. The box would have been enough for me, but inside is the gear, including a home made tray made out of a cheese box containing an old Gillette razor tin with hooks, fly wax, pliers, etc. On the bottom, the black booklet contains ready made flies and a fly tying clamp.
